What a year!
There were gloves to knit.
No time to add the fingers!
New achievements for your sons.
Old friends to visit.
Old tires went flat.
New cars came.
New sacraments for one.
A new life after graduation.
Old comfort foods balanced with a new kinds of cake.
Like an old friend Camp O was there again.
Going back to old haunts gives us a chance to see the city through new younger eyes.
New snow on an old bike.
Seeing this with an old friend who you do like.
A new internet star has arrived.
So much fun and so much we did.
A year to come I wonder what new and what old it will bring.
This time my poem did not rhyme.
It just followed the line of time.
I sure am glad to be your old friend year after year.
Getting to have all these adventures and learning new things about us together.
I love all of who you have been, who you are and who you will become.
